Puzzles & Cats

ROLE

The first release of Puzzles & Cats is complete, and new features are currently in development. My role in the project so far has been to establish an art pipeline, including setting up the art project and defining naming conventions. I collaborated with programmers to resolve issues related to the game board and other screens, worked with other artists on implementing 3D environments and characters, integrated UI elements, created custom shaders, developed VFX, and focused on performance improvements and game optimization.

LEARNINGS

This is my first game with Kwalee created entirely from scratch, and it has been an incredible journey. Working with such a talented new team brought fresh perspectives and allowed me to grow both creatively and professionally.

Finishing the first gameplay within seven months felt like a real milestone. It required meticulous planning, clear communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to feedback. The process taught me how to collaborate efficiently in a team setting, solve problems under tight deadlines, and always prioritise the player experience.
